From Vision to Sketch
Every Ergon guitar begins as a spark—an idea, a feeling, a story. Adriano channels that inspiration into detailed sketches, where form, balance, and intention take shape on paper. This first step is where each guitar’s unique identity is born, long before the wood is touched.

For me, every guitar begins with wood — not just any wood, but carefully chosen pieces, each carrying its own story, texture, and voice. I travel and search, handpicking every piece from different corners of the world, looking for character, resonance, and beauty. These materials are the soul of each instrument — selected with intuition, experience, and a profound respect for nature."
Tools with a purpose
My workshop is filled with tools that carry stories — most of them manual, many gathered over a lifetime of searching. I choose each one not just for function, but for the feeling it brings to the work. From vintage chisels to hand planes worn smooth by years of use, these tools are an extension of my hands, and together we shape every curve with precision, care, and tradition

For me, building an Ergon Guitar is a dialogue between maker and material. I shape each instrument with meticulous care, guided not only by form but by sound. Throughout the process, I listen closely — to the resonance of the wood, the vibration of each component, the harmony slowly taking shape. It's a craft where precision meets intuition, and where every decision serves one thing: tone, balance, and emotion.
A Conversation with the Musician
Once the guitar takes its final form, the journey doesn't end — it simply moves into the hands of the musician. I listen closely, observing how the artist connects with the instrument, how it responds to touch, to expression, to silence. It's a shared moment of discovery, where my work and the player's soul meet through sound. This final dialogue is what ensures that each Ergon guitar doesn't just play beautifully — it feels alive in the hands it was made for.
The Origin
Adriano’s journey into guitar making began in childhood, driven by a deep fascination with instruments and how they were built. Over the years, this curiosity evolved into a calling—one rooted in patience, experimentation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. With no formal training, Adriano taught himself through observation, intuition, and countless hours of hands-on work. His approach is not only technical but profoundly personal: every Ergon guitar reflects his philosophy of blending form, function, and emotion.
The name Ergon comes from the Greek word for "work" or "craft," but for Adriano, it holds deeper meaning. It represents the harmony between the maker’s hand and the musician’s soul. An Ergon guitar isn’t simply made; it’s shaped through a dialogue between the luthier and the material, and later between the instrument and the artist. This sense of purpose and intention is present in every detail—from the choice of wood to the final sound—making each guitar a truly unique, living object.
